The British Invasion

The British invasion started with the arrival of the Beatles to America on February 7th, 1964 as shown in the video. The question is, were they playing British music or were they playing recycled American blues music? Did America get invaded with its own music? Several sources would say yes. In the 1950's American blues singers toured throughout Europe because their music was not as accepted in America because it was thought of as black or race music. By contrast, the Europeans loved it.
